Mara Rey and Juan Jiménez

The cantaora (flamenco singer) from Jerez, Mara Rey, is one of the most talented and temperamental female voices in the current flamenco scene. Sister of the brilliant guitarist Antonio Rey and daughter of guitarist Tony Rey, she began singing and dancing from a very young age on tours in Mexico where she lived with her family. From there, her career has soared meteorically. In fact, she has accompanied with her singing some of the most important dancers in the current scene, in addition to carving out a solid solo career. Mara Rey will give a recital from the balcony of Hotel la Perla accompanied on guitar by Antonio Jiménez.
