Aurora Vargas

Aurora Vargas was born “for” the world of flamenco in the Sevillian neighborhood of Macarena, although her blood mixes singing and dancing dynasties from Cádiz, Seville, and Extremadura. She is the sister of Changuito, aunt of Potito, and cousin of the sadly deceased dancer from Triana, Isidro Vargas. She is sultan of rhythm and grace, muse of the dark goblins, and twist of the gypsy singing of Seville and she has been one of the great celebrants of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. She is an artist with an overwhelming personality that made her essential in the main flamenco festivals of the 80s and 90s, where she often shared the bill with Antonio Mairena, Camarón, Fernanda and Bernarda de Utrera, Farruco, Matilde Coral, or la Paquera de Jerez. Therefore, this lady of singing will surely offer one of the most exciting evenings of the current edition of Flamenco on Fire, to the extent that only artists of her size are called to do so.
