Gerardo Núñez

The garden of the Palace of Navarra will open its doors to the public for the third consecutive year. It will host a concert by the guitarist from Jerez, Gerardo Núñez, one of the most brilliant exponents of the current guitar, with outstanding depth and creative capacity, which have earned him, among other awards, two Giraldillos from the Flamenco Biennial of Seville (2022 and 2024) or various awards from the Chair of Flamencology of Jerez. We highlight “Calima” (1998) and “Andando el tiempo” (2004), or his collaborations with countless artists of the stature of Enrique Morente, Carmen Linares, Plácido Domingo, or Michael Brecker, among his discography. His books are also essential manuals to understand the magnitude of the current flamenco guitar.
