The concert that Israel will offer in this edition of Flamenco On Fire will be based on his latest record. It is his most personal work, through which he manifests his way of understanding purity, a legacy of cultural generations and musical frameworks that merge into a crucible where the certainty of who interprets and constructs new languages from the most absolute truth reigns. It is an introspective work with which the singer from Toledo reveals his way of feeling and relating to his closest universe: family, Romani culture, love, nature, and human values. “Pura Sangre” is a plea for truth from the deepest and most vital expression of an artist aware of being in a full stage of maturity. He is a singer whose secret lies in how he risks, exposes, and enjoys each of his concerts, and makes the audience enjoy them too. The six strings of Diego del Morao’s guitar put the singer at the edge of his own limits. After all, Israel and Diego are an artistic duo that shares the same conception and affinity for this ancestral art. Perhaps that is why they have such an extraordinarily special connection and complicity.
